Making 4000 PSI BIG GAME PCP Hammer Valve
Part 2 of making my 4000 PSI BIG GAME PCP. In this video I built the hammer system, I estimate there will be 1 or 2 more parts, depending on how much footage I get. This functions great at 3500 PSI, although it would withstand 4000 PSI. At 3500 PSI the hammer functions better. In the next part I will be making the chamber, transfer port... etc

In this video you'll see how I built a multishoot air rifle. This video shows the building of the trigger and the hammer, but the breech is a Crosman multishot breech. It uses a 0.5 L tank, gets 40 shots at 35 joule, 1200-1250 FPS using 7.8 grain pellets. With heavier pellets would probably be around 40-45 joule. How much possibility psi per single shoot , biggest air pressure on pcp
Max psi per shot with the spring i use is about 10 shots from 4000 PSI to 3200 PSI, so 80 PSI per shot. 80 PSI per shot gives me about 70 joule, or 1250 fps using 15.4 grain. However I don't know what higher consumptions would give, I don't have a spring that strong to test. I think if you just try to bring the usage to like 500 PSI per shot you are gonna get at least 100 joule.

that was just the unpressurized air bubbling away from the threads/what was between the valve and the tube. It's not from the tank. I have stored this for maybe a week at most while pressurized at 3000 PSI, a week later still at 3000 PSI.

I don’t know if you meant to compliment me but it indeed is nearly 100% homemade. The tank, valve, chamber, bolt etc… all are made at home using a mini lathe and some basic tools

Currently I wish I had a milling machine as well 😅 The slots and all the holes were dissapointing, so I better save up for a mill too.
my dad has a super nice bridge port mill and a ton of nice tooling I just started to learn how to use. I can make square parts and you can make round parts 😆

What barrl did you use bro?
Indonesian barrel, 60cm long and 12 grooves, stainless steel. I had it as I had ordered some parts from İndonesia before, if I didnt have it I would have made a 22 cal PCP. I imagine at 22 I could have acheieved maybe even 80-90 joules. What do you think about the results? Is 70 joule a lot for 177

@@pcpairgunschannel for short range hunting (under 30m) it can kll a hog, that's for sure. For long range it will lose its stability because the pellet is flying at transonic speed.

sorry guys, incorrect input number. this actually equates to 73.59 joules, not 68.33 previously, I said on a video that this consumes 150 PSI per shot, but after installing the chamber the consumption dropped to around 80 PSI a shot, probably because the pellet pusher is preventing the valve from opening to its full potential. Getting 70 joules at .177 cal consuming 80 PSI per shot using a 160cc tank is quite economical!
What pressure should you start at to reach 1200fps?
For 1200 fps the sweet spot seems to start at around 3500 PSI. (12xx speeds remain till around 2500 PSI) You could use this PCP at 4000 PSI but it will be less powerful.

Maybe 🤔 I regret not getting a milling machine as I got a lathe, though. The slots on the tube for example arent quite precise, but in the end I will still have a very powerful small bore PCP. My next project is actually a regulated semi-auto PCP, and for that I am gonna use a mill and not just a lathe with a sloppy mill attachment. Stay tuned bro :)

@@HamzaBendelladj-cb4np You have to release air from the valve to the himmet chamber and not only to the barrel. Then the trigger needs to be so that when You press it down it releases the hammer but immediately goes back in place while the trigger is still held down. I actually plan to make a semi auto next. Stay patient, I’ll begin it in about a month

Yep! At 166cc. Expecting maybe about 50-60 ftlbs using 15 grain slugs. The valve throat is huge at 8mm and 5mm transfer port is pretty big for just 177

What kind of oil do you use for O-rings?

@@jandeeg152 yes, oils can combust under high pressure oxygen. But this is not pure oxygen I am using, its just air. Therefore combustion of the oil isn't likely

bubby get a few pieces of steel and some machine screws . make you some ways to hold a peace that would fasten a peace of high-speed steel to it and create a fulcrum point the attaches to the part that slides between the ways i mentioned and put a handle on it and you have way to broach holes put a vice at one end and your days of drilling job like that are over . not to mention your slots will be far more square from Jump Street., you could do te dame then I'm talking with a drill press as well with just with some ground high speed steel . and a work-holding vice to get your lateral movement. all that to save you some time and aggravation guy

with this valve thats not possible. I am currently making a new PCP which will possibly give even 1400 FPS with 16 grain slugs, but that's a very optimistic estimation. The first part is on my channel, making valve and tank
